Isramart: Air Canada and Zerofootprint expand Voluntary Carbon Offset programme

Isramart news:
Air Canada and carbon management solutions provider Zerofootprint yesterday announced an expansion of the airline’s Voluntary Carbon Offset programme.

The bilingual programme now provides two new ISO-14064 certified carbon offset projects for customers who want to minimise the environmental impact of air travel.

The two new projects are Landfill Gas Recovery in Ontario and a Tire Recycling Program in Quebec. These are in addition to the existing Forest Restoration project in British Columbia.

The scheme was first launched in 2007 and since then Air Canada passengers have offset 15,554 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
