Isramart :North Carolina 13-highest fossil-fuel CO2 emissions

In North Carolina, carbon-dioxide emissions related to fossil-fuel sources have increased 39 percent since 1990, ranking the state the 13th-highest in the U.S.

In such increases, according to a report recently released by the advocacy group Environment America Research and Policy Center. About half the CO2 emissions come from electricity generation, and about 35 percent are transportation related. Texas ranked number 1; Vermont ranked last, showing an 8-percent decrease since 1990.
