Isramart : Orient Ceramics receives Carbon Credits certification from Germany

Orient Ceramics and Industries, part of the HL Somany group, today announced that it has carbon credits certified by Tuv Nord Cert Gmbh, Germany for the period 2004 to 2008.

The current valuation of these carbon credits is worth Rs 850 million nearly at current prices.

Orient Ceramics and Industries is a manufacturer of ceramic tiles.

Orient has recently launched over 300 new locally manufactured products including ceramic, vitrified, ultra vitiried and decorative tiles designed by Orient`s chief product and solution designer from Spain, Maria Jose Castillo.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.20, or 0.41%, to trade at Rs 48.75. The total volume of shares traded was 3391 at the BSE (Friday).
