Isra-Mart srl news:

In our third webinar, we will look at the essential role carbon offsets can play in financing projects that reduce emissions and create more sustainable communities. We have all heard horror stories about carbon offset money not doing what it is supposed to do and organizations that have no idea where their carbon offset dollars are going. In this webinar one of NativeEnergy’s project partners will provide a firsthand account of the real and direct role that carbon offsets can play in moving a project from conception to completion. The webinar will explore:

• The process of developing carbon offset projects
• The relationship between NativeEnergy, our offset projects and you
• Oversight of the Climate Action Reserve

The featured webinar speakers are:

Kevin Maas co-founded Farm Power in 2007 while completing an MBA in Sustainable Business at Bainbridge Graduate Institute. Farm Power develops, owns, and operates community anaerobic digesters. Its first project, located an hour north of Seattle has been running since August 2009, saving its partner dairy farms more than $100,000 to date. The second Farm Power digester has been producing electricity since December 2010 and is now supplying hot water to a greenhouse. Additional projects are in development, including one of NativeEnergys most recent projects, the Rainier Biogas Farm Methane to energy project. Kevin has built relationships with dairy farmers throughout the Pacific Northwest, while also working with environmental, government, and community stakeholders. Farm Power has distinguished itself by raising its equity from local investors, the most recent round by way of a rarely, seen option known as a direct public offering.
