Isra-Mart srl news:
US carbon and environmental software specialist Hara has continued its push into the European market, inking a major alliance with leading green consultancy AEA.
Under the terms of the strategic partnership, the two companies will join forces to provide customers with an integrated consultancy and software service that covers initial carbon and environmental reporting, as well as implementing carbon and energy savings.
The companies said that the combination of environmental management software and consultancy services will also help firms to comply with increasing green regulations covering waste, water and energy consumption, such as the government's high-profile Carbon Reduction Commitment.
Bill Hutchison, director of knowledge management at AEA, said that the new service would play a central role in firms' emission reduction efforts. "The delivery of future carbon reduction is all about measurement, verification and monitoring," he said. "As environmental legislation increases, all organisations need to find clear and cost-effective ways of pinpointing opportunities to save both money and carbon."
His comments were echoed by Nick Martin, managing director at Hara, who said that the partnership would bolster Hara's International presence and ability to support multinational customers, while also providing it with access to AEA's government and global business clients.
The partnership represents something of a coup for both companies, each of which is currently engaged in a major expansion drive.
Hara launched offices in Europe earlier this year as part of major international push designed to extend the company's reach after it signed up 35 blue chip clients in just its first year of trading, including corporate giants such as Coca-Cola, Hasbro and News Corporation.
Meanwhile, AEA beefed up its presence in the US earlier this month after completing the $83m acquisition of US-based Eastern Research Group (ERG).
