Isramart llc news:
Washington Gas Energy Services says it is partnering with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to help its customers reduce their carbon footprint.
The company says it will provide offsets for 5 percent of the gas used by new customers and those renewing gas contracts. Customers can also opt to offset their entire gas use, which WGES President Harry Warren says would cost the average residential customer about $12 a month.
Participating companies include J.B. Hunt, a trucking company shifting freight to more efficient rail transportation, and Sterling Planet, which helps businesses and individuals shrink their carbon footprint. A new fund supported by contributions from Sterling Planet and WGES will be administered by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
