Australia says it has much to learn from China, as it tries to make the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The minister for Climate Change, Greg Combet, told a forum in Canberra that China's efforts give lie to claims that the rest of the world is doing little to fight global warming. Mr Combet's Chinese counterpart, Vice Chairman Xie Zhenhua, says China remains committed to reaching a global deal on emissions.
