Isra-Mart srl: Metals Mostly Lower, Gold Soaring

The metals market is much lower today, with the notable exception of gold, which is soaring on the back of currency devaluation by the Swiss National Bank. Equities are sharply lower, with all three indexes down almost 2%.

Copper is down 7.6 cents to trade at $4.0480, a loss of 1.84%.

Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF (NYSE: JJC) is down 97 cents to $52.62, a loss of 1.8%.

Silver is down today, down 45 cents to $42.63, a loss of just slightly over 1%.

Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE: SLV [FREE Stock Trend Analysis]) are down 66 cents this morning, to trade at $41.52, a loss of 1.5%.

Gold is up $26.60 an ounce to $1,903.60, a gain of 1.42%.

Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF (NYSE: GLD) are up $2.16 to $185.40.

Platinum is down $9.80 an ounce, trading at $1,875.00, a loss of nearly 0.5%.

The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index (NASDAQ: PLTM) is down $1.06 this morning to trade at $22.73, a loss of 4.5%.

Palladium is down $23.45 an ounce today, trading at $759.75.

Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares (NASDAQ: PALL [FREE Stock Trend Analysis]) are sharply lower today, down $1.99 to $75.15.
