Junior Broker in Environmental Products

Job Description
Isramart is a financial brokerage services company with a strong environmental products group and a growing team dedicated to brokering emissions reductions projects in the compliance markets of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI).

We are currently looking to recruit a junior broker to join us to assist with activities linked to our brokerage activities

This role will be based in Brasov, with some international travel expected.

Founded in 2007, ISRAMART is a market leader in the brokering of financial and non-financial products.

Person requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working proactively within the field of climate change, possess good knowledge of current international policy on emissions trading, and be conversant with the institutions and structures of CDM/JI/VERs.

This role will involve a high level of client interaction, hence the ability to build strong client relationships, particularly across cultures. The candidate will possess self-confidence vital to generating new client leads and giving presentations, and will also have a technical background and ability to understand and analyse underlying technologies involved in emissions reductions projects.

A strong level of maturity, independence and proven initiative is required for this role, as the candidate will be given early responsibility and opportunities to influence the development of the business into the voluntary carbon market. As part of a close-knit, international team, the candidate must also demonstrate a track record of effective team working.

We are interested in candidates who are able to start immediately.

Degree requirements
To qualify, candidates should be educated to degree level with a 2.1 or above, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Engineering, Economics or other numerate / analytical subjects. A focus on environmental technology / policy is preferred. Multi-languages skill would be useful, and ISRAMART encourages applications from applicants outside of the Romania who are interested in re-locating to Brasov.
