Isra-Mart srl:Base metals spurts on rising demand

Most of the base metals spurted at the non-ferrous metals market here on sustained buying by stockist on the back of good industrial offtake.
Meanwhile, nickel and zinc eased following subdued demand from alloy industries.
The industrial metals fell at the London Metal Exchange on concerns over demand utlook from China as well as overall negative global economic situation.
Tin and brass sheet cutting both surged by Rs 10 per kilo each to Rs 1,310 and 305 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,300 and Rs 295, respectively.
Copper utensils scrap shot up by Rs 9 per kilo to Rs 393 from Rs 384 and brass tensils scrap by Rs 8 per kilo to Rs 295 from Rs 287 previously.
Copper wire bar and copper cable scrap both rose by Rs 5 per kilo each to Rs 454 and Rs 426, respectively.
Copper scrap heavy and copper sheet cutting moved up by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 418 and Rs 406, respectively.
Aluminium utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 109.
However, nickel dipped by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,110 from yesterday''s closing level of Rs 1,115 and zinc softened by a rupee per kilo to Rs 120 as against Rs 121 previously.
