Isra-Mart srl: Brent, U.S. crude futures extend rise after EIA data

Brent crude extended gains to more than $2 and U.S. crude to more than $1 on Wednesday in choppy trading after a government report showed crude oil stockpiles fell more than expected last week in the United States.

Gasoline stocks fell, against expectations inventories would be higher, while distillate stockpiles rose more than expected, according to the report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. [EIA/S]

ICE Brent August crude LCOQ1 rose $2.15 to 113.10 a barrel by 10:45 a.m. EDT (1445 GMT), having traded from $110.35 to $113.30.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, August crude CLQ1, rose 70 cents to $94.87 a barrel, having reached $95.40 and bounced from an earlier low of $93.24.
