Isramart : British poster campaign to act on CO2

Isramart news:
In an attempt to make Britons act to reduce emissions of CO2 and to “offer a stark message for any climate change skeptics”, the British government on Monday launches a poster campaign in 900 locations around the UK.

The posters show how different the seasons could soon look when affected by global warming.

“Climate change is not just a problem affecting distant countries into the future; it is here, it is happening and it affects each and every one of us,” the Department of Energy and Climate Change states, according to Bloomberg.

Earlier this year, the Department launched an “Act on CO2”-campaign to inform about global warming and to tell “that we can all do something about it.”

Less than half of the British think that climate change will affect them during their lifetime, a government poll showed in October. The survey also showed that less than 20 percent believe that their children will be affected by global warming.
