Isramart : World’s First Carbon Neutral Digital Radiography Panel to be Unveiled at RSNA 2009

Isramart news:
In a move set to revolutionise modern radiography technology development, Germany based Schaef Systemtechnik GMBH will be using the Radiological Society of North America’s 2009 Scientific Assembly and General Meeting as the launching platform for the world’s first carbon neutral digital radiography panel; the DRF A 4343.

London, England (PRWEB) November 5, 2009 — The increased international importance placed on climate change constantly highlights the necessity for a reduction in carbon emissions across all industry sectors. With this in mind, the introduction of Schaef Systemtechnik’s new DRF A 4343 flat panel X-Ray detector is an excellent example of a top of the range product with an intrinsic environmentally friendly manufacturing strategy. Such a strategy has resulted in the creation of a high quality a-Si based DR Solution at the lowest price in the market with the significant added benefit of being carbon neutral and Schaef Systemtechnik are very much looking forward to presenting the product at RSNA 2009.

The Radiological Society of North America is a professional body focused on the sophisticated improvement of patient care through education and research. It boasts over 40,000 medical imaging professionals and consistently brings about successful collaboration through the sharing of expertise and administrative facilities.

Held between November 29th and December 4th in Chicago, the RSNA 2009 meeting is the preeminent radiology professional networking and technology presentation event in the world, with over 58,000 attendees last year alone. Along with educational workshops, case study discussions and hands-on training exhibits the meeting is seen by many as the primary medium for the communication of innovative technology. This makes it the perfect stage upon which to display exciting new products such as the DRF A 4343 DRP.

Working in cutting-edge scientific or technological development has become a complex balancing act. With a worldwide recession biting into profits, the looming threat of climate change affecting business policies and increasing international market democratisation fuelling competition; new technological advancements must be innovative, cost-effective and environmentally friendly in equal measure. The marriage of these three concepts has nowhere been more successfully achieved than in the creation of the new DRF A 4343 panel, manufactured by DR Factory Corporation who has been able to drastically reduce the total carbon emissions caused during the panel’s construction and has managed to offset the rest. In addition the CO2 produced while operating the device (mainly caused by electrical power generation) will be compensated for resulting in a significantly greener system.

The innovative DRF A 4343 is a 17″x17″ flat panel designed to work with new or existing systems and can be implemented non-invasively. The panel has an a-Si TFT imaging array with a resolution of 9.4 million pixels and will be available in general and portable versions with equal image quality. FDA clearance is currently pending on the environmentally friendly device whose high-end specifications may be fully discussed with Schaef Systemtechnik at RSNA 2009 (see below to make a note of the booth number).

The introduction of the DRF A 4343 into a professional working environment has the dual benefit of upgrading older X-ray systems quickly and easily whilst also adding to the environmental legitimacy of the company involved. In a market situation filled with difficult decisions rarely is the choice of whether or not to consider a brand new product so clear-cut. Whether the purchasing emphasis is to be on price, functionality, innovation or a reduction in carbon emissions, the DRF A 4343 is definitely amongst the front-runners.

Attendees at the RSNA 2009 will see that this is more than just a new take on an old product. It is a better, cheaper, environmentally friendly take on an old but essential product, and one that could potentially inspire whole companies to aid in the fight against climate change.
