Isramart : Regional Governments Asked to be Involved in Carbon Trade

TEMPO Interactive, Palangkaraya: Palangkaraya – The central government is being asked to keep involving regional governments when discussing the carbon trade as they know more about the situation in the field.

This statement was made by the Central Kalimantan Governor, Augustin Teras Narang, on Friday (13/11). He said that the province of Central Kalimantan had the potential to develop carbon in the region including a reduction in emissions.

He said he had presented the potentials Central Kalimantan related to the carbon trade on Thursday (12/11) during the Asia Green Governor Round table in

Singapore, held by the Asian Development Bank and Carbon Conservation.

The meeting was not only attended by governors from throughout Asia but also non-governmental organizations working on the environment, as well as public and private investors working in the carbon trade.
